About Gilcris Orchard
Gilcrease Orchard began in 1920 when the family purchased 900 acres in the Las Vegas Valley for crops and livestock. Life was not easy for the family, but Elda and her two sons continued to serve the local areas and eventually grew to over 1,500 acres of land. In the end, the family had to sell most of its land. But to carry out their family’s legacy, the brothers created the Gilcrease Orchard Foundation. The current 60-acre plot of land is what remains, where they built the orchard with the idea that families could bring their children and enjoy a bit of the life the brothers grew up in.
Throughout the year, they open the orchard to the public, so you can take photos and pick your produce.
